Gunjan Vermani Director and Registered Physiotherapist
She has been practicing physiotherapy from 2006 and completed her 2 years specialization in Neurological Sciences (University Topper) in 2008. She has been taking many hands-on workshops and courses to continuously enhance her clinical knowledge and skills.
Gunjan is certified in the treatment of urinary incontinence, central pain management, Concussion rehab, Manual therapy level 1, and performs acupuncture and dry needling.
She is also an ADP Authorizer for walkers and wheelchairs apart from assessing and prescribing for orthotics, compression socks and custom bracing.
Vijay Sharma Manager and Registered Physiotherapist
With his over 12 years of practice in physiotherapy, he has experience in sports injuries, orthopaedic injuries and disorders, arthritis and related conditions like Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders etc, and various neurological conditions like Parkinson's Ds., Traumatic Brain and spinal cord injuries etc.
He completed his ACPAC -Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Arthritis Care certification from University of Toronto in 2015 while practicing and managing a few clinics in Ottawa and he was first one to do that from any clinic in Canada.
He is a firm believer in continually updating his skills and is certified in TMJ/jaw pain treatment,arthritic care, Manual therapy, Concussion rehab, Vestibular rehab, Graston technique, Acupuncture, Dry needling, Chinese traditional Cupping, M2T Blade and Kinesiology Taping.
He is ADP authorized for walkers and wheel chairs and can prescribe custom orthotics, compression socks and custom braces
Mehul Patel Registered Physiotherapist
He earned the degree of Bachelors of Physiotherapy in 2008 with honours. Mehul completed his clinical apprenticeship and was mentored by experienced orthopaedic surgeons & neurologists.
Mehul identifies root causes of pain and biomechanical dysfunction while providing proper education to his patients on factors behind injury, physical faults and gives ergonomics advices. He employs a variety of specific manual techniques along with therapeutic exercises to address patients’ needs.
Mehul has undertaken certification courses in Concussion rehabilitation, TMJ and jaw pain management, Kinesio taping, M2T blade, mulligan mobilization techniques to name a few and also performs acupuncture and dry needling.
Amit Kumar Registered Physiotherapist
Graduated from Institute of Applied Medicine and Research from India in 2010 with his Bachelor in Physiotherapy. Since then practiced in a busy Neuro-Pediatric set up along with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists & Special Educators. Along side ran two clinics in Delhi dealing with Orthopedic patients. Awarded as the therapist of the year in 2015 at Genesis Global School, Noida, India.
Moved to Ottawa in 2016. Since then working with the senior groups in different retirement homes in the Ottawa area. Believes in lifelong learning process and considers his patients as the mentors who teach him something new everyday. Strong skills in Soft tissue release, joint manipulation, neuro rehabilitation, post surgical orthopedic cases.
Bharat Sekhri Registered Physiotherapist, Certified Manual Therapist
Bharat’s goal as a Physiotherapist is to minimize pain, improve function, and enhance his patient’s quality of life. He believes that there is no universal treatment approach that is right for every individual. Thus, he utilizes a variety of specialized techniques to address each individual’s unique challenge or problem, whether it’s pain, weakness, stiffness, scar tissue, or a musculoskeletal condition. Bharat has completed advanced post-graduate training in manual therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, acupuncture, dry-needling, muscle energy technique, and core strengthening.
Bharat completed his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2011 from I.A.M.R, Ghaziabad, which is one of the top medical institutions in India. He became certified as a Manual Therapist from the Manual Therapy Foundation of India in 2012. Since moving to Canada, Bharat has furthered his Manual Therapy studies in spinal manipulation and became a Certified Manual Therapist through the Swodeam Institute in Ottawa in 2016.
Bharat’s career began as an I.C.U Physiotherapist in a super-specialty hospital in New Delhi, India. His experience in the I.C.U unit allowed him to become empathetic to the specific needs and concerns faced by individuals and families.
Bharat’s keen interest in Orthopedics inspired him to make a switch to the orthopedic division, where he successfully treated a wide variety of orthopedic conditions ranging from acute to chronic injuries as well as sports injuries. Additionally, he treats post-surgical shoulder repairs, ACL, PCL, Patellar ligament reconstruction, and hip and knee replacements. He has a special interest in treating shoulders (rotator cuff tears), backs, and knees.
Bharat has been living in Canada since 2015 where he has been practicing at some fast-paced clinics in the Ottawa area.
In his leisure time, Bharat enjoys playing cricket, billiards and learning the French language.

Deepesh Sengar Registered Physiotherapist
Deepesh, a Registered Physiotherapist, began his career in year 2010 after completing Bachelors of Physiotherapy (degree) in India. After working for 3 years in India, he moved to Canada and initiated his career at one of the reputed physiotherapy clinic in Ottawa.
Deepesh likes to use manual techniques like Soft Tissue release, Mobilization, Muscle energy Technique, Acupuncture & Dry Needling, Taping (Dynamic Taping), Neurokinetic Therapy. He has keen interest to further his knowledge and likes to take upcoming courses to constantly upgrade himself.
Throughout his career, Deepesh has gained experience in treating clients with:

Nela Mernik BSc. HK
Nela graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Science Honors in Human Kinetics. While at the University, she worked as a therapist with the women's hockey team. Since graduating Nela has taught exercise classes for the city of Ottawa and worked at various long-term care facilities promoting exercise and healthy living. Nela is always eager to learn and has obtained certifications in older adult’s exercise, vestibular rehabilitation and kinetic taping, and is always looking for new opportunities to learn, grow, and apply her knowledge and skills.
Erica Gifford Chiropractor
Dr. Erica Gifford grew up in the city of Ottawa. She attended the University of Ottawa, where she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology. While attending the University of Ottawa, Dr. Gifford started her professional journey working with patients as a medical assistant for medical doctors. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, graduating with Magna Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. During her time at CMCC, she also worked as a Certified Personal Trainer. She is certified in Acupuncture, Advanced Functional Techniques, Smart Tools and Active Release Technique.
Dr. Gifford provides patients with the most current evidence-based care. She tailors each treatment plan to your specific needs, goals and comfort. Dr. Gifford works with you to help you understand the cause of your pain. She uses a combination of Chiropractic Adjustments and mobilizations with Active Release Technique, Acupuncture, education and rehabilitation exercises to decrease your pain, get you moving better and prevent re-injury. She has a special interest in complex chronic pain patients.
Recreationally, Dr. Gifford enjoys rock climbing, skijoring (cross-country skiing fueled by her dog Bella), snow boarding, hiking, camping and canoeing. She also coaches competitive water polo in Ottawa. She is thrilled to join the PPRC team, starting on March 18th, and looks forward to helping you feel better soon!
Svetlana Lopez Vargas Registered Massage Therapist
Since graduating from CDI College as a registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in 2006, Svetlana has had the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary clinics alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths, providing treatments to clients with wide variety of conditions, including chronic strain, postural imbalances, sports injuries, post surgeries, pregnancy massage. She has also experienced firsthand the benefits massage can bring to those suffering from systemic conditions such as MS and Parkinson’s.

Vivek Srivastava Yoga Therapist
Vivek is what one may call a Corporate Yogi. After 25 years of experience in companies like Cisco, Dell & Nortel and while working both in India and North America in very stressful work environments, he understands the challenges faced by today’s workforce. High levels of stress and fast-paced lifestyle on a global level have given rise to physical and emotional health issues. Looking at the demands this life style brings on health management, Vivek decided to formally educate himself in the holistic ancient sciences of healing and spirituality.
Vivek gained a Master’s Degree in Yoga from SVYASA, an “Ashram University” in India, an RYT200 certification from Yoga Alliance International; he is a member of IAYT, has Reiki Certification and has spent over 4 years working with Yoga participants in India and Canada. Vivek, as a Yoga Therapist, counsels yoga enthusiasts and patients across countries both face-to-face and using online sessions to help them recover, restore or maintain their health goals.
Vivek is a family man and loves travelling, smooth music, nature walks and treks. He is always ready to discuss spirituality, healing cycles and ancient techniques for good health.
Stephan Kolotylo Chiropodist
Stephan Kolotylo completed his undergraduate studies at York University with an Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science. His passion for biomechanics and health care inspired him to pursue further education at the Michener Institute for Podiatric Medicine (Chiropody). Stephan completed the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences Chiropody program in 2013 and graduated with distinction. Shortly after graduating Stephan gained experience working in numerous and diverse clinical settings, such as private clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, government funded community health centers and with professional sports teams, such as the Toronto FC soccer team. Stephan is very passionate about helping people and having a positive impact on his patients motivates him in his career every single day.
Zoe Kung TCM Acupuncturist
We are proud to introduce to you, the latest addition to our team. Hsiang Lan KUNG (Zoe) is a Medical Acupuncturist who has received qualified TCM & Acupuncture courses and clinical practice training at the TCM School in BC and currently hold the license of R.Ac. and R.TCM.P. in Ontario with CTCMPAO & in BC with CTCMA. Not only does she have many years of experiences training and learning from R.TCM. P. YANG Sheng-Ming in Vancouver who is a disciple of famous Beijing TCM & Acupuncture professors (YU Ying-Ao & WU Xi-Jing) in China’s Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences; but she also has independent clinical experience for several years afterwards. Her patients are multi-culture; thus she can speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese to communicate with them.
Michael Ramos PTA
Michael Ramos studied Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He moved to Canada to migrate with his family and has, since then, worked in various industries. With a little luck, and a new baby boy, he finally came back to his field and has been working as a budding physiotherapist's assistant at Physiocare.
Outside of having fun at work, he loves to keep himself updated on the latest news, trends and technology. He likes to work with his hands, follow directions to a T and educate himself on everything under the sun.
Jhoanne Ramos PTA
Jhoanne Ramos is a physiotherapist's assistant at Physiocare Physiotherapy & Rehab Centre. She completed her university program and holds a degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She considers her education as one of her greatest assets. The learning and training from the university has enhanced her talents, skills, and fulfilled her determination to help and provide support for others.
After moving to Canada and started working in the healthcare industry, she gained experience in communicating and treating people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Dealing with patients has taught her a great deal about valuing life and how we spend it. It teaches a person how to be sensitive, compassionate, to listen, provide support, motivate, counsel, and cooperate. Most importantly, it teaches a person how to be grateful for all the things you currently have and can do. Apart from being a compassionate worker, she is versatile and a fast learner who will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. She will work hard to prove to you that she is a great addition to the team.
During her leisure time, she is never without anything to do as she enjoys spending time with her family, doing long drives, hiking, binging on T.V. shows, watching movies, reading, cooking, trying out new restaurants, and, with a little too much enthusiasm, to organizing. She is currently working on getting her full license in Canada, with just a minor bump along the way.
Rhiddi Dave PTA
Riddhi has worked at Physiocare Physiotherapy Center as a physiotherapist assistant for the last one and half years. Riddhi has 4 years experience as an Occupational Therapist after finishing her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in 2012 from Gujarat University, India and preparing for the registration exam of being OTR in Ontario. During her 4 years of experience, she has dealt with all different kinds of people from pediatric to geriatric. She has attended 2 national conferences and other workshops and training programs. She is trained in acupressure treatment as well. She has special interest in people with neurological disorders. Moreover, she is an active listener with good communication and interpersonal skills. In her spare time, she likes to listen to music, read books and attend training programs.

Chris graduated with a bachelor of Physical Therapy from the Philippines. Prior to joining Physiocare as a PTA in September 2018, he worked as a PT in his homeland.
Chris embraces the concept of evidence-based treatment. He has a strong emphasis in using an active approach to build resiliency and is a firm believer in eduaing each patient about the nature of pain. He looks forward to helping you reach your goals.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and friends, outdoor activities like trail running, scuba diving, hiking, and swimming.
Alex St. John BSc. HK
Alex’s ideology on Physiotherapy and Kinesiology can be summed up with the phrase ‘Exercise is Medicine’. Through movement and exercise prescription, patients can achieve positive outcomes and greater quality of life following injury or surgery, as well as strive to prevent any future musculoskeletal injuries. An avid athlete, Alex has played 12 years of soccer, softball, volleyball, varsity rugby, and most recently football with the uOttawa GeeGees. Professionally, Alex has experience in the fields of youth soccer, swimming lessons/lifeguarding, personal training, strength and conditioning, and athletic therapy with GeeGees Football. Currently, his main hobby is resistance training, specifically powerlifting, and he aspires to register for a powerlifting competition this upcoming Spring.
Alex studied his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Ottawa and is currently completing pre-medicine prerequisite courses at that same university with the goal of attending medical school. His primary career focus is Sports Medicine, and one of his life goals is to own a multidisciplinary clinic/athletic facility. His most current plans include attending the University of Dundee, Scotland, within their Faculty of Medicine to complete a Master of Research.

June came to Canada with her husband and young family from Ireland in 2001. She has spent the past 17 years working with Physiotherapists, Family Doctors and Sports Medicine Doctors and has a lot of knowledge in the Medical Field. June started with Physiocare as a Receptionist and has moved on to Accounts and is our Office Manager. If you need any information or you have any suggestions, then June is the one to speak to.
In her spare time June enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 3 grandchildren. She also loves walking her dogs, cooking & knitting.

I graduated from Algonquin Careers Academy with honors in Medical Office Administration in July 2015. Since graduating, I have worked at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Two Men and a Truck Ottawa, Papanack Zoo and now with Physiocare Physiotherapy since July 2017.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I am also a big animal lover, so I spend a lot of time with my pets. When I am not busy at home with my husband and 3 boys, I do love to ski in the winter and go camping in the summer.
