Gunjan Vermani Director and Registered Physiotherapist
She has been practicing physiotherapy from 2006 and completed her 2 years specialization in Neurological Sciences (University Topper) in 2008. She has been taking many hands-on workshops and courses to continuously enhance her clinical knowledge and skills.
Gunjan is certified in the treatment of urinary incontinence, central pain management, Concussion rehab, Manual therapy level 1, and performs acupuncture and dry needling.
She is also an ADP Authorizer for walkers and wheelchairs apart from assessing and prescribing for orthotics, compression socks and custom bracing.
Vijay Sharma Manager and Registered Physiotherapist
With his over 14 years of practice in physiotherapy, he has experience in sports injuries, orthopaedic injuries and disorders, arthritis and related conditions like Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, autoimmune disorders etc, and various neurological conditions like Parkinson's Ds., Traumatic Brain and spinal cord injuries etc.
He completed his ACPAC -Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Arthritis Care certification from University of Toronto in 2015 while practicing and managing a few clinics in Ottawa and he was first one to do that from any clinic in Canada.
He is a firm believer in continually updating his skills and is certified in TMJ/jaw pain treatment,arthritic care, Manual therapy, Concussion rehab, Vestibular rehab, Graston technique, Acupuncture, Dry needling, Chinese traditional Cupping, M2T Blade and Kinesiology Taping.

Nafis Khan Physiotherapist
Nafis completed his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2014. After graduation he joined the public sector and served as a Clinical Physiotherapist in Disability Service and Support Centre for almost 2 years. In order to achieve broader understanding of how health service works, he pursued his post-graduation in Public Health from Liverpool John Moores University, UK.
During his practice as a clinical physiotherapist he has worked with children suffering from cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, muscular dystrophy, autism, hemophilia, club foot and so on. For a brief period, he also served in the hospital setting where he managed musculoskeletal and neurological cases. He loves travelling and photography. His favorite sport is Cricket.
Hiral Thakkur Resi Physiotherapist
Hiral completed her Bachelor's of Physiotherapy in 2017 from India. After that, she continued further studies and graduated in Fitness and health Promotion from Conestoga College in 2019. She has experience working with all sorts of patients in different setups. She has also attended two international and few national conferences.
Her hobbies include listening to music, cooking and playing badminton.
Dave Hanemaayer Registered Massage Therapist and PTA
Dave has over 13 years of experience treating many different pain and injury syndromes including arthritis, muscle tears, disc herniations, repetitive stress injuries, every day tight muscles and more. In addition to being an RMT, Dave also assists our Physiotherapists as a PTA.
He has completed training in acupuncture through McMaster University, myofascial release, Thai massage, acupressure, laser therapy and laser acupuncture.
When not working he spends time with is family, being a father to 3 young boys, working out, hiking, kayaking local Ottawa water ways and reading.
Zoe Kung TCM Acupuncturist
We are proud to introduce to you, the latest addition to our team. Hsiang Lan KUNG (Zoe) is a Medical Acupuncturist who has received qualified TCM & Acupuncture courses and clinical practice training at the TCM School in BC and currently hold the license of R.Ac. and R.TCM.P. in Ontario with CTCMPAO & in BC with CTCMA. Not only does she have many years of experiences training and learning from R.TCM. P. YANG Sheng-Ming in Vancouver who is a disciple of famous Beijing TCM & Acupuncture professors (YU Ying-Ao & WU Xi-Jing) in China’s Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences; but she also has independent clinical experience for several years afterwards. Her patients are multi-culture; thus she can speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese to communicate with them.

Jasper Davenport Massage Therapist
Jasper holds a diploma from the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa where he graduated with honours. Being well versed in physical assessment he is able to identify muscular imbalances, movement restrictions and postural issues that help to get to the root cause of pain or dysfunction in order to treat the patients with maximum efficiency.
Jasper can use a variety of techniques to treat his patients including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) stretching. He is also a certified Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist (FRCMs). FRC is a comprehensive evidence based approach to training the joints and tissues of the body to achieve optimal mobility and control over end ranges. This approach is tailored to the patients needs and demands of their job, sport, or hobby.
Dealing with his fair share of injuries Jasper also knows the importance of rehabilitative exercise. He believes that the manual therapy applied by the therapist complements rehabilitation exercises, and that movement is important. He believes that the sooner movement or load can be reintroduced to a joint or muscle, the quicker recovery can be.
Being involved for over a decade in Thai Boxing both competitively and as a coach Jasper has special interest with athletic injuries in both the acute and chronic stages.
His hobbies include strength training, Thai Boxing, cycling and researching new treatment modalities and philosophies."
Prateeksha Viradiya PTA
Prateeksha, completed her Bachelor's in physiotherapy from India and graduated in 2010. Also obtained a diploma from distance learning in HR in India. After graduation, she joined a team of orthopedic surgeons and worked as a physiotherapist in the acute care hospital for 5 years. She worked briefly with pre-natal and post-natal clients.
She moved to Canada in 2016 and worked as a PTA for over 2 years in Toronto with an MVA clinic.
To have a broader understanding of ow health care system works in Canada I pursued the OIEBP program from University of Toronto in 2019. I had my internships with 2 renowned hospitals in Toronto - St. Michael’s and Sunnybrook-Schulich heart centre for a month each.
Currently working with an amazing team at Physiocare Physiotherapy and in thee process of getting certified as a Water fitness trainer.

Venumadhav Madhadi PTA
He earned his Bachelors in Physiotherapy in 2007 from NTR University of Health Sciences, India. After working under eminent orthopedic surgeon for a year he went to pursue his PG Diploma in community welfare in Australia. Gaining enough experience working in Australia for 5 years, he returned to India and worked as a physiotherapist specializing in post operative physio care and rehabilitation.
Recently (2019), He immigrated to Canada and started as a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) here at Physiocare. His hobbies include playing cricket and travelling.
